Projector Review | Home Theater DLP Projectors | Others

The H77 from Optoma is a home theater projector that will leave you feeling just like you're at the movies. With its high 3,500:1 contrast ratio, 1,600 x 1,200 maximum resolution, and 900 lumens of brightness, projected images have an enhanced depth of field and improved image clarity. You can switch between 16:9 (widescreen), 5:4,, and 4:3 aspect ratios, while DVI, HDCP, analog RGB, component, HDTV, BNC, and S-video inputs provide you with the flexibility to attach nearly any video device.

Optoma's proprietary eight-segment DVE color wheel technology results in virtually no dithering, and its shield design reduces light and noise leakage, resulting in a better viewing environment, with a quiet 23 dB operation. If your projector is not perfectly aligned with the projection screen, you can use the H77's four-way vertical and horizontal keystone correction to adjust the image.

The H77 has a 21 to 282-inch diagonal screen size and a 3.28 to 32.8-foot projection distance. An included wireless remote control lets you operate the projector and change its settings, including zoom and focus. Compatible with both PC and Macintosh computer platforms, the H77 also comes backed by a two-year limited warranty on both parts and labor.
